West Berkshire & Newbury Liberal Democrats, 2020-Present (full-time from January 2022)
Organising and overseeing election campaigns for the Liberal Democrats in the West Berkshire Council area, including managing what is predominately a volunteer organisation to a tight schedule and ensuring tasks were completed on time, as well as helping to craft electoral strategy and message. Notable results include a by-election gain from the Conservatives on Newbury Town Council in 2021 (against the grain of results nationally) and increasing the Liberal Democrat vote share by over 10% in a 2021 West Berkshire Council by-election fought in a ward that constitutes part of a marginal Conservative / Labour Parliamentary Constituency (Reading West).
Test Valley Borough Liberal Democrats, August 2021 - January 2022 (proving temporary sick cover)
Helping to produce a targeting strategy for the Liberal Democrats in Test Valley in advance of local elections in 2023, as well as producing high-quality literature for delivery. Notable achievements include laying the ground-work for victory in a March 2022 Test Valley Borough Council by-election, as well as providing advice that helped result in the Liberal Democrats returning to Southampton City Council at the 2022 local elections for the first time in almost 10 years.
Catherine Bearder MEP, September 1st - October 31st 2019
A varied role that involved attending meetings and events with and for Catherine Bearder MEP, Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the European Parliament, organising events on her behalf, managing various office email inboxes and diaries, as well as taking responsibility for writing responses to casework received from her constituents and writing briefings for events and media appearances Catherine Bearder was attending. Leaving at the end October 2019 in order to fight the General Election back in the UK.
